About Us

Menam WOK is a new and exciting venue located in Höfði Food Hall in Reykjavík.

Menam first opened as a restaurant at Eyravegur 8 in Selfoss in 1997 and has been owned by the same Icelandic family since 1999. After a short break, Menam Thai and a brand new place, Menam Dim Sum, re-opened in the The Old Dairy Food Hall in the newly downtown area of Selfoss.

Menam, which is Thai and means by the river, offers delicious dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, prepared under Thai influences. By using the best possible local ingredients and cooking with the magic of Thai cuisine, we bring out the best of both worlds.

The recipes behind the dishes are rooted in the heritage of Menam’s Thai founder and the talented team that has worked with us throughout the years. We’ve discovered the magic of Thai cooking first-hand, learning directly from Thai individuals who have worked with the family over time — some of whom still do. This foundation has shaped Menam into what it is today.
